Over the last four years at Michigan State University, Sydney has had the opportunity to get hands-on experience across diverse projects, allowing her to develop the critical skills necessary for a production internship at any agency. The last two years she’s spent as Vice President and President of Michigan State University Advertising Association, one of two advertising clubs on campus. This trained her in a dexterity of tasks including budgeting, project management, and some creative initiatives pertaining to digital marketing (social and email advertisements). Additionally, MSU coursework and personal projects has availed her to an understanding in audio and video production by giving her access to opportunities on set as well as in sound studios. With a background in copywriting and documentary film her wide-ranging skillset brings substantial value to any team.
Equally important to mention, is Sydney’s experience at Breaking and Entering Media where she independently produced podcast segments in the form of Breaking Ad MSU and Blueprint. Over the course of two years, she’s recorded episodes as well as managed aspects of pre and post- production to schedule meetings, interview guests, capture audio, and even edit in Adobe Audition. Making content for individuals has reinforced the importance of being someone who in an industry that champions brands, champions people.

Since discovering his passion for advertising at the end of my freshman year, he’s immersed himself in the industry through hands-on experience, networking, and leadership roles. Joining Ad Club connected him with like-minded individuals, and he quickly began applying advertising principles to real-world projects, such as growing CU’s sports media club. One of Talus’s most impactful experiences has been managing media for Leadville Ski Joring, a historic event in his hometown. What started as a small role evolved into a full-scale media operation, where he expanded digital reach and set industry records, including 2.2 million Instagram views in one weekend. These experiences have shaped his skills in media strategy, content creation, and leadership, setting the foundation for his career.
On campus, he’s deeply involved in student media and creative initiatives. As Creative Director of Sko Buffs Sports, Talus lead a 40-person team, coordinate media days for CU’s club sports, and collaborate with brands like Blenders and Sports Illustrated. He’s also a member of CU Freeski, combining his passion for skiing with media production, and he’s stay engaged with Ad Club to refine his industry knowledge. Beyond advertising, Talus has always been fascinated by aviation, though personal reasons have steered him toward a creative career instead. To break into the advertising industry, Katie spent the summer as a Strategic Planning intern at FCB Chicago, working on brands like Terminix. As the president of Ad Club at Indiana University and founder of the student-run agency Appetite, she’s developed strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills. She’s also host Ads on Air, a podcast where she discusses industry trends, and serves as an art director for @tequilajaybaer, creating video content. Katie’s experience working on brand challenges for Cheez-It with Kellanova’s brand managers has given her hands-on exposure to real-world marketing strategies. These opportunities have helped her refine her storytelling abilities and sharpen her strategic thinking.
On campus, she leads Ad Club and oversees social media and marketing for People of IU, while continuously growing Appetite. Katie’s passion for advertising is fueled by a sharp observational eye and a knack for crafting compelling narratives. Amanda aspires to work at a creative or digital agency where she can combine her passion for storytelling, strategy, and collaboration. Her journey into advertising was inspired by her father’s natural ability to connect with people, a skill she longed to develop as an introverted kid. Initially drawn to the creative side, she realized she wanted a more interactive role, leading her to account management. Since arriving at Boston University, she’s immersed herself in the industry through leadership roles, internships, and hands-on experience. As President of BU Ad Club and VP of Accounts at BU Ad Lab, Amanda has managed real client projects, led a 170-member organization, and honed her leadership skills. Amanda’s work with Strike Magazine’s social media team further strengthened her ability to execute media plans from start to finish.
One of the most valuable lessons Amanda has learned came from her professor, Dennis Reilly—don’t wear “blinders” when job searching. Every role is a steppingstone, and gaining a diverse skill set ultimately makes you a stronger advertiser. This mindset has shaped her approach to professional growth, allowing her to appreciate each experience as a learning opportunity. Amanda’s most memorable achievement has been leading BU Ad Club, where she’s brought in nine clients, set up workshops, and worked with an incredible executive board. As an art director and creative director for student organizations at UT Austin, Nora actively shapes advertising spaces on campus, ensuring inclusivity and authenticity in storytelling. Her time at Third Ear strengthened her ability to uncover cultural truths, allowing her to craft campaigns that challenge stereotypes and foster genuine connections. Beyond advertising, Nora runs her own clothing brand, Luminous Vision, using fashion as a medium for storytelling. As Director of Content Creation for AdClub and an Art Director for the National Student Advertising Contest (NSAC), Luke has honed his skills in crafting visually compelling campaigns. He’s also won a gold crowbar for a YouTubeTV campaign and is currently developing work for the Young Ones competition, constantly pushing his creative limits. If he couldn’t work in advertising, he’d aspire to be the next Anna Wintour, curating bold editorial visions that influence culture. Bill’s also been developing spec commercials, particularly for luxury brands, to refine his storytelling and visual style in a way that aligns with his career aspirations. This combination of technical skills, practical experience, and industry connections is preparing him to thrive in a production agency.
One of Bill’s most memorable experiences was creating a Chanel No. 5 commercial for his cinematography class. This project allowed him to merge his love for film and advertising, pushing his creative boundaries while exploring high-end visual storytelling. From scriptwriting to final edits, every step of the process was both challenging and rewarding. The collaborative energy of his team made it even more fulfilling, reinforcing his passion for producing cinematic campaigns. During the summer after his freshman year of high school, Jaylen decided to explore career options. Initially considering careers like chef or house flipper, he stumbled upon the show Black-ish, where he learned that the main character, Dre, was an advertising executive. This moment sparked a deep interest in art direction, which led him down a rabbit hole of research, including discovering the role of an art director through a YouTube video. It was then that his childhood fascination with ads and branding, from staying up late watching PSAs to sketching fonts in class, clicked into place. This ignited his passion for the creative process in advertising, particularly in art direction.
Jaylen is currently a sophomore at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in advertising with plans to apply to the Texas Creative program in the spring. He’s actively working on building his portfolio and gaining hands-on experience through his role as the art director for Haus of Seasons, a clothing brand. He’s also been involved in extracurricular activities, including student recruitment for the Moody College of Communication and serving on the communications team for the Moody College Honors Program Student Council. One campaign that truly resonated with her was Dove’s “Real Beauty,” which celebrated body positivity and self-acceptance. This sparked her interest in advertising, where she saw the potential to craft messages that could resonate deeply with audiences in a short amount of time. She’s especially excited by the opportunity to push creative boundaries in an ever-changing industry, where she can use my personal experiences to create impactful campaigns that not only promote brands but also foster positive change.
Currently, Paromita is pursuing a degree in Psychology at Boston University, with a minor in Cinema and Media Studies, and she’s actively involved in AdClub as Vice President of Accounts. This role allows her to connect with industry professionals and hone her skills in client management and event planning. She’s also gained hands-on experience through her internship with an independent music label, where she promoted their social media and increased engagement. As a creative advertising major focusing on art direction and graphic design, Savanna had the chance to develop her skills and work as an art director intern at 3 Headed Monster, where she helped brainstorm big ideas, build pitch decks, and create content. This experience solidified her love for the creative process, and she’s eager to dive deeper into the industry and continue learning from the best.

Hannah’s most memorable project was the AD Club at IU Spread Joy Social Event during her freshman year. As the holiday season approached, she came up with the idea of designing and distributing greeting cards to residents of assisted care facilities to spread holiday cheer. After sharing the idea with her co-president, it turned into a successful event where future advertisers came together to enhance their design skills while making a positive impact on others. This experience stands out because it combined creativity with a meaningful cause.
On campus, Hannah is involved with the AD Club at IU, BYOB, and People of IU. As an executive in the AD Club, she plans events, coordinates travel and communicates with vendors. She’s also a videographer for People of IU, which highlights the stories of Indiana University Hoosiers. Additionally, she participates in BYOB, a platform for students to showcase their businesses and develop skills in marketing, negotiating, and customer relations. These experiences helped her grow creatively and professionally.
